Based on a true story. Mostly. Blue would like it noted that he was “fine” the whole time.
Blue was minding his own business behind the café counter. Then Puddle walked in and ordered “an iced caramel oat latte — no ice, extra hot, but make it cute.”
He stared at her for a full four seconds. Then he made it anyway, wrote her name on the cup, and drew a tiny heart next to it. When she asked about the heart, he said, “What heart.”
Puddle started drawing their life: the arguments over snacks, the 3 a.m. vent thoughts, the face Blue makes when she says “I’m fine” (it’s the same face he always makes).
She posted it. Blue found out from the comments. “Why is my face on the internet.” Puddle, already drawing that reaction: “Content.”
Turns out every couple has a Puddle and a Blue. The comments filled up with tagged boyfriends, “clock it,” and “why is this my relationship.”
Then it hit 630,000 followers. Blue changed facial expression for the first time in recorded history. It lasted 0.3 seconds. Puddle screenshotted it.
